Remembering you Daddy !

Absence of my Dad in my life definitely does not make it as beautiful as my blog title says. I never thought that I would get this situation to write when I started this blog.

Loads of gratitude to our moms
For the pain she took to bring us to this world,
For her unconditional love,
The value she inculcates us, and more.
We praise her, call the country we are born as mother land,
Celebrate mother’s day, women’s day very prominently
But the silent sacrifices that our Dads make are less recalled

He never expresses it out, he never shares his pain.
He never clues us about his upcoming birthday
Nor does he expects any celebrations
A mere wish for him on the day will make him happy.

Ensures his kids have had food before he has it
Buys clothes for the family before buying one for himself
I am sure you would have more clothes than your dad
He is content with what he has.

Let’s you out, sets you free
But inside, I know, how much he would be worrying
For the protective nature of him is reminding him
The world out there is dangerous for your kid.

Compromises his luxuries for your dreams,
No matter how big or small they are,
Each one of them becomes goals for him
And he earnestly works towards it.

You never knew that he would be there even when he leaves this world. He ensure that you are insured before he leaves.
He definitely deserves to be remembered and celebrated.
So go, go on and celebrate the day. Happy Father's Day !

He will always be there and live in the life he has given you, in the dreams you are living, in your thoughts and in your prayers.

There It Comes..

There it comes - painted red, and with a running board,
Full of people inside and few hanging outside.
Everyone at the terminal is ready to jump into it.
Aunties clutch their children's hand, uncles pull-up their pants,
Girls ensure their bags, and boys look for the foot-board space.

Finally every one made it, slowly they settle.
New day, new faces, new attitudes.

Some open their books, some put-on their ear phones,
Some catch up with a nap, some catch up with a fight,
Some confused, some irritated, some hyper-active,
Some staring at someone, some dreaming of someone,
Some sitting and watching everything that’s happening around.

Stop to Stop It stops, picking and dropping people
Making it’s way all the way till the destination.

There it comes – painted red, and with a running board,
Again filled with people, people filled with thoughts.
Aunties planning for the supper, uncles thinking about the match,
Girls planning the next day’s attire, boys thinking of ways to impress
One-by-One vacated It leaving no smile for him.
